| As well as organising your artwork, we can arrange to produce your prints. Either from artwork, you ask us to originate or from your own. If, however, you wish to produce your own prints, this will be no problem. It is important though, that the materials are compatible with Armourseal. So below is a general guide for supplying prints |
|
- Use encapsulation paper order from VPB, in Ivory (width 1280mm) or white (width 1260mm)
- Use Mat Vinyl colour fast inks. Send a sample of the ink mix, on a strip, to VPB to ensure colours a re compatible
- Apply inks slightly thicker than normal, avoiding excessive use of thinners. Retarders should be avoided, where possible.
- Prints should be force air dried
- Keep paper in a constant atmosphere. Due to the papers absorbency, it is liable to expand with application of ink or humidity.
- Prints all inks on the same day. Do not leave partly finished overnight. The paper may distort in changing atmosphere.
- Print more than required, as spares.
- Do not use correction dyes / inks, this may react with the resin in Armourseal
- Composite images can be produced by combing compatible prints. Do not supply assembled. Send instructions for placement. Adhesive may be incompatible or print may move in dispatch.
|
|
- Use colour prints, not black & white.
- Requires a sealed border of at least 5mm. 20mm where screw fixings are required (holes can only be drilled within border)

- Will require encapsulating in polyester film with a 5mm clear border. This can be organised by VPB
- Electrostatic and Ink Jet prints require a sealed border of at least 10mm. 25mm where screw fixings are required (holes can only be drilled within border)

| A new innovation at the current time is computer prints, which can be encapsulated within Armourseal without it requiring a border. If this development would suit your current project, please call us to discuss results in this innovative area |
